SINGER ...

proudly from the beautiful North East of England Emma's mother promoted Jazz bands and her father was a charismatic raconteur . Emma was destined to perform in some way. She possesses a truly fabulous voice and uses it  skilfully to move effortlessly between heart-wrenching sweet soul licks & raw, real, powerful blues.

Emma's unique, tender vocals & gorgeous tone lend themselves beautifully to recordings with shades of early Aretha Franklin & hints of another of Emma's all time favourites Ann Peebles.

Live Emma Wilson concerts are vibrant & visceral delivered with true passion, heart & soul with Emma giving all of herself to her audience.

songwriter ....

Emma released her all original ten track debut album

"Wish Her Well" in 2022, the title track to date reaching hundreds of thousands of streams and plays worldwide Emma describes 'wish her well' as her 'little hero' song

for the follow up album "memphis calling" emma spent time in nashville co-writing with multi-ascap award winning and nashville hall of fame inductee - gary burr .Two songs from that session -  the soulful "A small word" & Americana classic "watching you leave" are on the album.

british songwriting icon terry reid (famed for "seed of memory") and emma co-wrote the beautiful "i'll see you in the morning"  by chatting on the 'phone & sending files back and forth - with emma in the uk and terry in l.a. they have a dear friendship and enjoyed creating this lovely song.

scott bomar (who produced "memphis calling") and emma developed the song 'drug' from a lamenting ballad - which emma had  sung into her phone - into a powerful deep funk which features legendary drummer steve potts

arranger ...

emma wrote the horn arrangements for 'a small word' the opening track on 'memphis calling'.
